FinePrint FineShield Setup

FineShield setup

Agree what FineShield checks before connecting it

FineShield, your legal autocorrect, starts small: one team, its channels, and the rules that apply to them. Your legal and business owners decide the scope and who approves what. We confirm the setup, the data handling and the measures before anything is connected.

  1. Name the first team and channels

Pick the mailboxes, Slack channels and meetings to start with. Tell us what those people decide and which messages to check. We confirm what each channel can do: warn, route for approval, or make the message wait.

  2. Choose the documents that set the rules

Give us the signed contracts, approved policies and approval limits for that team, through the secure process we agree. Name an owner for each one. Fix any clash or out-of-date version before it is used to check a message.

  3. Name the people allowed to decide

Business exceptions go to the approver you name. Questions that need legal judgment go to your lawyers. Confirm what each person is allowed to approve and who takes over when they are unavailable.

  4. Agree access and meeting notice

Decide who sees flags, decisions and records. For meetings, agree how participants are told, what is captured, and how long it is kept. Ask us for the security and deployment documents your review needs.

  5. Walk through the first flagged messages

Look at the first flags together. Were the right words flagged? Does the cited rule apply? Did the decision reach the right person? Count the flags that turned out to be nothing. Only a rule’s owner changes the rule.

A flag needs a current rule and a named owner.

Agree 5 measures before starting

These 5 numbers show whether it works: issues corrected before sending, review time saved, time from flag to decision, flags that turned out to be nothing, and how much of the named work is covered. Agree how each one is counted before you compare results.

  • Issues corrected
  • Review time saved

Questions

How long does setup take?

It depends on the scope, how ready your source documents are, and your security review. We give you a plan once we have seen those three things, not a date before.

Do we need to connect the whole company?

No. Coverage begins with the team and channels you name. Any wider scope needs its own confirmed sources, permissions, and owners.

Bring your first scope to the conversation

Tell us the team, the channels, the documents and the decision owners you want to start with. We work through what is covered and answer the questions your legal and security teams will ask.
